Lucknow Super Giants have a fair few problems to solve if they are to launch a playoff run. First and foremost, the form and confidence of their captain Rishabh Pant. Second, their fielding, which was subpar tonight. Third, they’ll be desperate to have Mayank Yadav back and firing.

LSG take on Mumbai Indians in their next clash, and that could be a crucial game for their playoff charge.

LSG vs DC LIVE: A brilliant win

A sensational victory for Delhi Capitals. They came back into the game with the ball after LSG’s opening partnership ended, and controlled proceedings thereafter. Chasing 160 never seemed a challenge, thanks to crucial knocks by Porel, Axar and of course, Rahul. 

DC join GT on 12 points at the top of the IPL 2025 table, while LSG stay at fifth but now have a negative net run-rate.

KL Rahul finishes it off with a 6! Delhi Capitals win at a canter, by 8 wickets, over Lucknow Super Giants. They have completely outclassed LSG at their own den, with LSG’s former captain KL Rahul guiding them home expertly.

50 for KL Rahul, against his former team LSG! What a platform to put up such a composed performance, he has guided Delhi Capitals home. Two balls later, KL Rahul completes 5,000 runs in IPL! He is the fastest to reach that milestone, surpassing David Warner’s record.

It is a target that Delhi Capitals would fancy themselves to chase down. KL Rahul will be at the crease, likely at No. 3, and would hope to take victory at his former home ground. Abishek Porel and Karun Nair have played a few lively innings off late too.

Ayush Badoni, speaking after the innings, says that 180 would’ve been a par score on the wicket. LSG had a great start, openers Markram and Marsh put up 87 for the first wicket. But after Markram departed, LSG struggled and could manage 159 only after Badoni got some late boundaries. Great bowling by DC.
