Nitanshi Goel stole the limelight on Thursday with a striking runway walk at a fashion show in Mumbai. However, it was her heartfelt gesture that truly stood out—she paused mid-walk to touch veteran actor Hema Malini’s feet, seeking her blessings. She also embraced former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen with a warm hug. A video capturing the touching moment has since gone viral on social media.

In the video, Nitanshi Goel is seen gracefully pausing her ramp walk to pay respects to Hema Malini, who was seated in the front row. Dressed in a red saree, the veteran actor appeared visibly touched as Nitanshi bent down to touch her feet. Hema responded with a warm smile and placed her hand on her chest, acknowledging the young actor’s heartfelt gesture.

After paying her respects to Hema Malini, Nitanshi Goel walked over to greet Sushmita Sen, who was also seated near the runway. The two shared a warm hug and exchanged a few words, with Sushmita appearing genuinely touched by the gesture. She smiled brightly and applauded enthusiastically as Nitanshi resumed her walk down the ramp.

Nitanshi Goel earned widespread acclaim for her performance as Phool in Laapataa Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao. Released in theatres in March 2024, the film tells the story of two newlywed brides, Phool (Nitanshi) and Jaya (Pratibha Ranta), who are mistakenly swapped during a train journey—setting off a chain of unexpected events in rural India. The ensemble cast also includes Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan, Chhaya Kadam, and Geeta Aggarwal Sharma. The film was praised for its heartfelt storytelling, social commentary, and strong performances.

Laapataa Ladies was produced by Kiran Rao’s Kindling Pictures, Aamir Khan Productions, and Jio Studios. The film is based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami. Sneha Desai penned the screenplay and dialogues, with additional dialogues by Divyanidhi Sharma. Notably, the film was selected as India’s official entry to the Oscars 2025, though it ultimately did not make it to the final shortlist.
