PRESIDENT, the mysterious band set to perform at Download 2025 have shared more teasers online. Check them out below.

The band first turned heads a few weeks back, when they were added to the list of artists set to perform at this year’s edition of the Donington festival – despite being completely unheard of, having no music out there and no details about who the members are.

A cryptic teaser was shared back in February, when the band’s Instagram page posted a brief video, showing a man standing by himself in a church, while sombre music played over the top. “W E – A L L – C H O O S E – T O – F I N D – H O P E”, the caption read, and writing flashed up on-screen during the clip reading: “In the name of the father”.

Now, it seems like the band are back to dropping hints for festival-goers, sharing another update on social media.

In the latest clip, few details are revealed about who the band are, although it does show a clip of an unsettling figure, wearing a mask and a suit standing in a hallway. As the camera slowly zooms in on the person, the lights are seen flickering and the sound of a ticking clock is heard over the top. At the end, the date May 16 pops up on screen.

It isn’t yet clear exactly what will be announced on May 16, although it will hopefully lead fans closer to working out who the mysterious ‘PRESIDENT’ band are. Check out the latest update below.

The hints around the group come shortly after organisers shared the day splits for the currently-announced artists, confirmed Vengaboys, Justin Hawkins and Funeral For A Friend for the District X section, and shared a newsletter confirming that there will be “multiple secret sets” taking place this year.

Secret sets are by no means a new addition to Download, as unexpected performances in the past have come from the likes of Enter Shikari, Black Stone Cherry, Bullet For My Valentine and even Metallica

The upcoming 2025 edition will return to Donington Park in Leicestershire, between June 13-15, and see Green Day, Sleep Token and KoRn perform as headliners. Others confirmed in the initial line-up were as well as performances from Weezer, Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter, Jimmy Eat World, Poppy, Loathe, Jerry Cantrell, McFly, Within Temptation, Eagles Of Death Metal, The Darkness, Spiritbox, Meshuggah, Steel Panther, Cradle Of Filth and Alien Ant Farm.

Another batch of artists joining the 2025 line-up was then confirmed earlier this year, with new names including the likes of Rise Against, Hatebreed, Kids In Glass Houses, Opeth, Myles Kennedy, Shinedown, AWOLNATION, Power Trip, Palaye Royale, Municipal Waste, Crossfaith and more.

Towards the end of 2024, organiser Andy Copping spoke to NME about the importance of creating a platform for new talent going into 2025. “For us, it’s about giving bands the opportunity to grow. We’ve got the platform and we want to be sending a message to those guys like ‘Come and play. We believe in you and you’ve got a great opportunity here.’ Thankfully, for the most part, these bands do step up and they do deliver.”
