Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 1.74 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 3.63 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 3.26 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 2.52 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 2.11 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 2.05 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was down 2.12 per cent at 833.25 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 203.7 points at 23315.65, while the BSE Sensex was down 854.86 points at 76560.06.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red. Shares of IDFC First Bank, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Zomato and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Ishan Dyes Chem, Reliance Naval & Engg, Cura Tech, Gallantt Metal and ITC Hotels hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Punjab Sind Bank, UCO Bank, Gangotri Text, Arshiya and JP Associates hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
