Ultra has long been the epicenter of historic moments in electronic music, but for the festival’s 25th anniversary, its organizers pulled off something that had eluded the industry for over a decade: the first-ever live performance of “Titanium” by its original collaborators: David Guetta, Afrojack and Sia.
Since its 2011 release, “Titanium” has transcended mere chart-topping success to become a generational dance anthem, a four-billion-stream juggernaut permanently etched in the DNA of both pop and electronic music. But despite the track’s ubiquity, the trio behind it had never performed it together—until now.

Ultra’s Mainstage, already a temple to defining moments in dance music, became the proving ground for this long-awaited spectacle. Afrojack hinted at a surprise by spinning Guetta’s Akon-fueled club hit “Sexy Bitch” before the French icon took the stage moments later, reminiscing about discovering a young Afrojack and their storied history.
“If there’s anyone to do this right now and to try to change the scene a little bit, it’s us,” Afrojack told EDM.com in an interview back in 2021.
Then Sia, swathed in custom Dolce & Gabbana and her signature wig, made her first-ever EDM festival appearance. Her unmistakable voice cut through the Miami night for a one-of-a-kind performance, proving that even in an age of hyper-accessible content, some moments still demand the magic of live music.
