Actor Mimoh Chakraborty, who plays a police officer in Netflix’s latest thriller Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, has showered praise on the show’s directors, Debatma Mandal and Tushar Kanti Ray.

Mimoh expressed his admiration for the directors, emphasizing their ability to handle such a massive project with ease. He shared, “Tushar Da and Debatma Da were absolutely outstanding. You should have seen how effortlessly they managed everything. Handling an ensemble cast like ours is no easy task. Imagine having so many actors in one frame and bringing out the best performances from each of them; it’s incredibly challenging. At any given time, there were around 300 people on set. Managing all the action, drama, emotion, suspense, and thrill while keeping everything organised was a massive responsibility. But they executed it brilliantly.”

The actor went on to describe the experience as nothing short of magical, stating, “From what I saw, it was pure magic, like poetry in motion or a beautiful painting coming to life. Debatma Da and Tushar Da truly deserve all the credit for this. They remained calm and composed on set, no matter how tough things got.”

He also lauded their patience and understanding, adding, “They were patient, understanding, and incredibly supportive. There were days when we shot three intense scenes in one day with 10 to 15 actors in a single frame, yet they never pressured us.”

The series, created by Neeraj Pandey, features an ensemble cast including Jeetendra Madnani (Jeet), Prosenjit Chatterjee, Chitrangada Singh, Ritwik Bhowmik, Akansha Singh, Pooja Chopra, and Parambrata Chatterjee.

Reflecting on his experience filming the show, Mimoh recalled the camaraderie he shared with his co-stars. “We filmed in both Kolkata and Mumbai, and every day felt like a joyful ride. Jeet Da is an absolute gem. His sense of humour is incredible, and the way he showers love on everyone is heartwarming. Despite being a megastar in West Bengal, he remains so humble. Watching him made me realise the true essence of greatness; it’s not just about fame but also kindness and humility.”

He also spoke about the friendships he built during the shoot, mentioning his bond with Akansha Singh. “Akanksha, who is also part of the Khakee police unit, became a close friend. She’s a phenomenal talent, and the best part is we share the same birthday! That was a fun coincidence that brought us even closer.”

Mimoh further shared his fondness for co-stars Trishan, Aadil, and Ritwik, highlighting their fun-filled time on set. “Trishan, another member of the Khakee unit, also became a dear friend. Then there are Aadil and Rithvik; the three of us shared so many scenes together. Every time we were on set, we’d find ourselves laughing, joking, and having a great time. It was like a constant celebration.”

Summing up his experience, he said, “Every day brought something special. I created beautiful memories and friendships while also learning so much from the amazing talents around me. Honestly, it was a blissful experience. Touchwood.”

With Khakee: The Bengal Chapter receiving appreciation from audiences, Mimoh’s heartfelt words reflect the passion and dedication that went into making the series a success.
