So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

SUMAC & MOOR MOTHER – “HARD TRUTH”

Post-metal supergroup SUMAC and experimental artist/vocalist Moor Mother have shared a brief, eerie clip from their anticipated collaborative album The Film.

LUCY DACUS – “TALK”

Lucy Dacus’ new album Forever is a Feeling arrives later this month, and she’s given us another early taste with “Talk,” a distorted indie rock track.

HANNAH COHEN – “DUSTY”

With it’s fluttering flutes, gently ticking rhythm box, and swooping strings, “Dusty” is a lovely preview of Hannah Cohen’s new album Earthstar Mountain.

MAIA FRIEDMAN – “RUSSIAN BLUE”

Maia Friedman says “Russian Blue,” the latest single from her new album Goodbye Long Winter Shadow, is “about love lost, and the inevitable process of losing oneself and finding oneself again. I enlisted my dear friend Hannah Cohen to sing harmonies, and the closing guitarmony solo was dueled out by Maddy Baltor and I, side by side. It was joyful to say the least. We knew this one needed drums so we called in the legendary Kenny Wollesen and he got it on the first take. I love how Oliver Hill interpreted my demo into this beautiful arrangement for woodwinds and strings.”

RIVERS OF NIHIL – “AMERICAN DEATH”

Progressive death metallers Rivers of Nihil have shared another taste of their upcoming self-titled album, “American Death.” Guitarist Brody Uttley says, “‘American Death’ is a title that we’ve been throwing around and printing on our T-shirts since 2013. We figured it was finally time to write a song with that title, and given the subject matter of the lyrics, it would only make sense for this song to be a true ass beater. It’s definitely the most true form ‘heavy’ song of these singles, so we are very much looking forward to playing it live.”

RAY VAUGHN – “FLAT SHASTA” (ft. ASH LEONE)

Long Beach rapper Ray Vaughn’s gearing up to release a new EP called The Good, The Bad & The Dollar Menu on TDE, and new single “FLAT shasta” is an appealing dose of pensive boom bap with a soulful hook from Ash Leone.

CORBIN – “COME DOWN”

Corbin has announced a new album, Crisis Kid, due out April 3, and the new single is a dose of mopey alt-pop called “Come Down.”

FLY ANAKIN – “THE TIMES”

Richmond indie-rapper Fly Anakin gives us another alluring taste of his upcoming album (The) Forever Dream.

JIVEBOMB – “SERAPHIM (MARINA’S SONG)”

Baltimore hardcore band Jivebomb really know how to deliver songs that’ll tear your face off. On the third single from their upcoming debut album Ethereal, they’re three for three on tracks that do exactly that.

HOLD MY OWN – “NO RESPECT DUE” (ft. SUNAMI’S JOSEF ALFONSO)

Chicago hardcore band Hold My Own dropped a new song that features Sunami vocalist Josef Alfonso and the band’s quote about it tells you exactly what to expect: “Non stop mosh. Spin-kicks to da face. First song out with Mike Bulldoze in the band. 100% pure hard core with Josef Sunami on the mic at the end. Hc singalongs and head walks…”

BAD BEAT / D BLOC – DHC SPLIT
