Bollywood actor Govinda recently reminisced about an intense disagreement with late actor and screenwriter Kader Khan during a film shoot. The incident occurred when Govinda, after waiting for hours, refused to shoot before having his meal, leading to a heated exchange. Kader Khan, upset with the delay, decided to proceed without him, but an unexpected mishap during the shoot changed everything. The revelation came during a podcast on Bheeshm International, where Govinda shared details of the argument, the moment Kader Khan lashed out at him, and the dramatic twist that followed.

What Led to the Disagreement?
Govinda, who worked with Kader Khan in several hit films like Hero No. 1 and Saajan Chale Sasural, recalled arriving on set at 7 AM, only to have his shot scheduled after a long delay. “I reached the set at 7 AM and waited, but the crew set up my shot only at 12:10 PM. So, I decided to order lunch. Kader Khan came and said, ‘Is this the time for lunch?’ I replied, ‘Yes sir, you should eat too.’”
However, Kader Khan insisted that Govinda shoot first. “He said, ‘Let’s give the shot.’ I said, ‘No sir, I’ve been waiting since morning. These guys didn’t set up my shot. Now, I’m hungry and will eat first. You also join.’” Govinda’s refusal led to an intense back-and-forth, with Kader Khan expressing his frustration.
A Shocking Turn of Events
As the argument escalated, Kader Khan reportedly said, “I’ve heard you’ve been acting difficult these days. Are you afraid of anyone?” To which Govinda replied, “I am not afraid of anyone, except God.” Kader Khan, determined to move ahead, decided to shoot without Govinda. However, the sequence took a dangerous turn when the boats they were filming on drowned, along with the camera. Kader Khan himself went missing for a while during the mishap, causing panic on set.
A Moment of Mutual Respect
After the incident, Kader Khan returned and had a surprising reaction. Govinda recalled, “He asked for my hand and kissed it. Then he said, ‘You have something in you.’” The actor humorously added, “I had to hear so many abuses just to get this compliment.”
Their camaraderie, filled with love, respect, and occasional disagreements, contributed to some of Bollywood’s most iconic comedic moments.
