A shocking incident happened in Morena, Madhya Pradesh. A man was found hanging in his house. A few days after his death, a video appeared on social media showing his daughters hitting him while his wife held him down. The police are now investigating whether he took his own life or was killed. His body has been sent for a medical examination to find out the real cause of death.
Family disputes and allegations
The man, Harendra Maurya, was an electrician and the father of three daughters and a son. According to reports, he often had arguments with his wife. On March 1, he hosted the wedding of his two daughters. Soon after the wedding, his wife reportedly told him she wanted a separation and planned to move to her father’s house.
Upset with this, Harendra locked himself in a room. When he did not come out, his family members started looking for him. Eventually, he was found hanging. He was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead.
Following his death, his neighbours alleged that he took his own life due to frequent fights at home. However, his in-laws accused his father and brother of murdering him. The case has become more complicated with these conflicting claims.
Disturbing video sparks uproar
Amid the ongoing investigation, a shocking video has gone viral. The video, dated February 1, shows Harendra being assaulted by his family. His wife is seen holding his legs while his daughters thrash him with a stick. He screams in pain while his young son tries to stop his sister. However, she threatens to beat him as well. When Harendra tries to escape, his wife holds him down again, and the beating continues.
This viral video has caused a major uproar on social media, with people demanding justice for Harendra.
Senior police officer Dipali Chandoriya stated that the body has been sent for an autopsy at Gwalior Medical College. “We got information that a man has died by suicide. A preliminary probe has pointed to family disputes. We have sent the body for postmortem, and we will probe all the facts that come to the fore,” she said. The police have also taken note of the video, and further action will be taken based on the autopsy report.
