PVR Cinemas has announced a special film festival dedicated to celebrating Aamir Khan’s profound impact on Indian cinema. The festival, aptly timed to coincide with Aamir’s birthday, will kick off on March 14 and continue until March 27. Fans will have the opportunity to revisit some of his most iconic films on the big screen, reflecting his journey from a promising newcomer to one of Bollywood’s most influential actors.

At a press conference discussing the festival, Aamir Khan shared insights into his career choices and his deep-rooted love for storytelling. Recalling a pivotal moment in his early days, Aamir said, “At my worst, I had the courage to say no. That’s why I behave this way till now. If I had compromised that day, my entire career would have been a series of compromises.”
He revealed that during one of the most challenging phases of his life, he was offered a film by Mahesh Bhatt. “I got a Mahesh Bhatt film at the worst point of life. But I didn’t like the film. I had the courage and told this to Mahesh Bhatt.”
Aamir also spoke about how his love for stories began in childhood. “I use to love hearing stories. When I was 5 years old, Whenever someone used to come to make my father hear stories, concepts or entire scripts, I use to hide behind curtains and hear stories. Even my father realised I used to hide behind, he made me sit in front of after a few years my father used to ask,” Aamir added.
After few years his mother used to tell Aamir that he free on so and so day as there is some story hearing.
Aamir further stated, “I never used to think of movies as actor. I listen to films as how will they be as films.”
The PVR film festival will highlight this very essence of Aamir Khan’s cinema—films that are not just blockbusters but also benchmarks in storytelling.
