Sensex was down 7 pts at 74,332, Nifty 50 gained 7.8 pts at 22,552 as RIL gains offset IT losses. RIL jumped 3%, and was the top gainer. The IT sector saw Weakness. Nifty IT dropped 0.9% as Infosys, HCL Tech slid 1.6% and more. Auto index went up 0.1% amid talks of U.S. tariff exemptions.

Stock Movers
Bharat Electronics rose (+1.5%) on ₹577 cr orders; while Gensol fell (-2.5%) on credit downgrades.

Global Markets
European and Asian stocks declined due to U.S. trade policy concerns. Investor focus remained on the upcoming U.S. non-farm payrolls report and a speech by Fed Chair Jerome Powell, both expected later in the day, which could give an idea about US interest rates.

Currency
INR rebounded and gained 0.3%, also gained 0.7% for the week, which is its best performance since Feb 2023.

Crude
Brent closed at $69.96, and is set for the biggest weekly drop since Oct 2024.

Bitcoin
Risk-sensitive bitcoin dropped slightly to $88,439 amid Trump’s strategic reserve order.
