According to Sacnilk, Chhaava—directed by Laxman Utekar—collected Rs. 21.75 crores net (early estimates) at the box office on Wednesday, a marginal rise from its Tuesday collection of Rs. 18.5 crores. The film clearly benefited from the Maha Shivratri holiday, and its current total collection stands at Rs. 385 crores.

Chhaava will also be released in Telugu. The makers recently shared a poster featuring Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj with the caption:“The epic tale of India’s courageous son, #Chhaava is now all set to roar in Telugu by popular demand. The film has received notable nods from high-profile figures. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also mentioned Chhaava at the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi, remarking: “Ye Maharashtra aur Mumbai hi hai jisne Marathi filmo ke saath saath, Hindi cinema ko ye unchai di hai. Aur in dino toh, Chhaava ki dhoom machi hui hai.”
