NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 383.78 points down at 78834.27 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, AVI Products India (down 11.81 per cent), Omni Axs Software (down 8.97 per cent), Cindrella Hotel(down 7.05 per cent), Modern Shares(down 6.96 per cent) and Blue Cloud Softech(down 6.90 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 17 stocks traded in the green, while 33 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 102.21 points at 23849.5.
On the BSE, Sanghi Ind, Digjam, Odigma Consultancy, Vishal Mega Mart and CreditAccess Grameen hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Enbee Trade Fin, Morgan Ventures, Sambhaav Media, VBC Ferro Alloy and Venmax Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs.
