FanCode, India’s premier sports destination, will broadcast some of the marquee events organised by the Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) across multiple sports. This comes on the heels of the recently announced association between Dream Sports Foundation (DSF) and MSSA, aimed at enhancing youth sports by fostering grassroots talent development.

The broadcast will begin with the prestigious Harris Shield, MSSA’s U-16 cricket tournament. It will be made available on FanCode for the second consecutive year. This will provide a major boost to players competing in one of the biggest events in Mumbai’s cricketing calendar. This year’s final will be played between Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English School and Modern English School, Chembur, from December 16-18 at Brabourne Stadium.

The Harris Shield has historically been the breeding ground for Mumbai cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, and Prithvi Shaw, among others, in their early days. Besides the Harris Shield, the Giles Shield will also be available on FanCode.

Speaking about it, FanCode co-founder Yannick Colaco said, “Last year, when we broadcasted Harris Shield for the first time, it was a landmark moment in Indian amateur sport. We are delighted to continue providing a platform to the next generation of superstars and extending this to sports beyond cricket, with athletics, hockey, football, and other events that MSSA will organize. This is also in line with our larger goal of nurturing a sporting culture by offering a platform for families and friends to come together and show their support for the athletes.”

The Inter-school Athletic Meet, Inter-school Hockey Tournament finals (The Aga Khan Hockey Cup), and Inter-school Football Tournament are some of the tournaments that will be available on FanCode in due course.

Sports fans will be able to watch the tournament on FanCode’s mobile app, TV app on Android TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Jio STB, Samsung TV, Airtel XStream, OTT Play, Prime Video, WatchO, and on the FanCode website.

Nominations for ET MSME Awards are now open. The last day to apply is December 15, 2024. Click here to submit your entry for any one or more of the 22 categories and stand a chance to win a prestigious award.
