In a candid interview with News X, actress Taapsee Pannu discussed her role in the Indian film industry, humorously embracing the title of “alternative box-office queen.” Acknowledging her unconventional choices, Taapsee noted that her career took a different direction early on. “Anything that is not conventional becomes alternative. I did try conventional things, but I don’t think they are meant to be,” she stated, emphasizing her realization of the importance of pursuing more diverse and challenging projects.

Taapsee noted that her reputation precedes her, with directors and producers often steering clear of conventional roles when considering her for a project. “Somehow, it does not fall right in my head. Even the makers do not offer me simple things as they are probably aware Taapsee Pannu won’t accept it, and it might actually harm the film,” she quipped.

After the tremendous success of Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, Taapsee who was also seen in Khel Khel Mein is all set to star in her upcoming film Gandhari directed by Devasish Makhija and written by Kanika Dhillon.
