The Bollywood Hungama OTT India Fest 2024 and India Entertainment Awards kicked off with a bang on October 3 at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai. The inaugural day featured several insightful panel discussions with prominent figures from the Indian OTT industry. On the second day of the event on October 4, Karan Kundrra, Sonnalli Seygall, Krystle D’Souza and Daisy Shah talked about offers in the industry and how one gets stereotyped.

Recalling her debut movie opposite Salman Khan, Daisy Shah said, “It happened to me from the first movie itself, Jai Ho. I was made to do Hate Story 3 to break the barrier that I will only do behen ji roles only. The role that I played in the movie [Jai Ho] was very coy but after I did Hate Story, I started getting offers for such roles because they start seeing you in that bracket, and suddenly you start getting offers for such kind of things. No, that’s not the case. It’s just like we are trying to show our personality as an actor that we can do all kinds of roles.”
