Shares of Sanofi India Ltd.(up 4.72 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 3.3 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 1.65 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.39 per cent) and Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.58 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 2.34 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 0.46 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(down 0.42 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 0.3 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.12 per cent up at 23014.3.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 1.15 points at 25279.85, while the BSE Sensex stood down 4.4 points at 82555.44. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 ended in the green, while 29 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, HFCL, Zomato and Jio Financial Services were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Tembo Global Ind, Laxmi Cotspin, Geojit Financial, Godrej Ind. and Kitex Garments hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Globale Tessile, Mahalaxmi Fabric Mil, Revathi Equipment, Interarch Building and Rishabh Instruments hit their fresh 52-week lows.
