The ongoing investigation into the horrifying rape-murder of a 31-year-old postgraduate trainee doctor has revealed shocking details about Sanjay Roy, the prime accused.
Sanjay Roy, along with another civic volunteer, visited Sonagachi after midnight on August 8, considered a ‘red light area’ in north Kolkata, sources told India Today TV. Roy had consumed alcohol on the same night before the trainee doctor was raped and murdered, sources added.
Her body was found the next morning inside the seminar hall of the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
While Roy’s partner entered a prostitute’s house, Sanjay stood outside. The same happened when the duo visited another red light area at Chetla in south Kolkata around 2am, sources said.
The accused also badly teased a woman passing by who was in an intoxicated state. He also called a woman and asked for her nude photographs.
