The dynamic duo of actor Prabhas and director Prashanth Neel are basking in the glow of their latest triumph. The television premiere of their action-packed blockbuster, Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire aired on Star Gold on May 25 at 7:30 pm IST, and the response has been nothing short of spectacular.

On May 26, taking to social media, the makers released an exclusive BTS still of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel to commemorate the success of the film’s television debut. In the photo, the actor-director are seen exchanging joyous smiles in the photo as if responding to the love they received from audiences. “They can’t stop smiling #Prabhas #PrashantNeel,” read the caption after the makers posted this photo.

For the unversed, Star Gold featured the world television premiere of Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire which features an ensemble cast like Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, and Shruti Haasan along with Prabhas. The film, produced by Hombale Films, was introduced in many languages including Hindi.
In fact, we hear after garnering good response at the box office in India and other countries, it also received appreciation and applauds from significant overseas markets, including Japan.
Speaking of the film, set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, where monarchy still exists, Salaar follows the friendship between Deva (Prabhas), the exiled prince of Khansaar, and Varadha (Prithviraj), the current prince of Khansaar. When a coup d’état is planned by his father’s ministers and his relatives, Varadha enlists Deva’s help to become Khansaar’s undisputed ruler.
Followed by this instalment, the makers are already expected to have kicked off work on the second instalment which is reportedly titled Salaar: Part 2: Shouryaanga Parvam, since it is said to have gone on floors this month and we also hear that they are looking to release it in December 2025.
