The Kerala Story is not going to slow down anytime soon. If the opening weekend was excellent and the first week was phenomenal then the second weekend was simply an eye opener. It showed once again that if a film catches the fancy of audience then there is no looking back. With more than Rs. 20 crores added to the first weekend total, the second weekend eventually went up by around 60%, which was simply unbelievable.
Now the weekdays have started with a bang as well for the film, what with yet another double-digit score been recorded. Last Monday, the film had collected Rs. 10 crores and now this Monday it has actually gone one up with Rs. 10.30 crores coming in. This shows that the word of mouth is truly positive and spreading fast enough to attract more and more footfalls. Last week in fact the film had grown from Rs. 10 crores on Monday to Rs. 12.54 crores Thursday with a constant rise in collections on a daily basis, which was an unprecedented trend. Now it has to be seen whether this would happen again in the second week as well, which is unlikely as such since history can’t repeat twice over and that too for the same film.
Still, what the film has now done is reach a score of Rs. 147.04 crores already, which consolidates its all time blockbuster positioning. The Adah Sharma starrer would be aiming to cross Rs. 175 crores milestone by the close of second week and then begin its victory march towards Rs. 200 Crore Club in the third weekend.
