Dvpt Corporation(down 0.69%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 0.63%), NMDC Ltd(down 0.46%), Coal India(down 0.44%), MOIL(down 0.38%) and KIOCL(down 0.12%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 21.75 points up at 17893.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 142.43 points at 60806.22.
Bajaj Finserv(up 2.29%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.99%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.84%), Asian Paints(up 1.77%), Infosys(up 1.67%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.63%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.61%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.6%), SBI Life(up 1.37%) and Britannia Industries(up 0.93%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 11.02%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 2.83%), Hero MotoCorp(down 2.12%), Cipla(down 1.69%), JSW Steel(down 1.12%), Bharti Airtel(down 1.09%), UltraTech Cement(down 0.97%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.89%), UPL Ltd(down 0.77%) and Tata Motors(down 0.76%) closed in the red.
