Mumbai’s guitar hero Chandresh Kudwa has toured with virtuoso musicians like bassist Mohini Dey in the past, but his upcoming three-city tour keeps it in the family. Kudwa will be joined by his 13-year-old daughter, guitarist Eva Kudwa, plus rising bassist Alanis Rodrigues and veteran drumming powerhouse Gino Banks.
Kudwa’s tour kicks off in Pune on Apr. 18, 2025, followed by stops in New Delhi on Apr. 20 at the Piano Man, Eldeco Centre and in Mumbai on May 8 at Rule 34. A previously announced Bengaluru show in May is canceled, but the guitarist is planning a rescheduled date.
While Eva has been part of Kudwa’s video covers on social media for some time now, Kudwa tells Rolling Stone India that it’s the first time they’re heading out on tour together in the same band, something he calls “a dream come true.” He adds, “Ever since she picked up the guitar, we used to talk about how incredible it would be to share the stage someday—and now that it’s happening, it’s pure magic. She’s not just a solid guitar player but also a great singer, so we get to trade harmonies, play twin leads, and even throw in some melodic shred sections together. The chemistry on stage is unreal.”
The four-member band will perform from Kudwa’s albums Conqueror (2011), Free Spirit (2018) with Mohini Dey and Gino Banks and his new EP Through The Noise, which released in January. In March, the guitar ace–who previously shredded in rock bands like Dream Out Loud and also contributed guitar for the likes of A.R. Rahman, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Amit Trivedi–put out an openhearted, uplifting hard rock song called “Don’t Walk Away.”
