According to Downdetector, user complaints began surging in the early hours of February 12 (Wednesday), with 84% facing streaming difficulties, 13% reporting server connectivity issues, and 3% experiencing application-related problems.
The outage occurred at a crucial moment in the series, sparking frustration among users who voiced their concerns across social media.
Widespread Service Disruption Across Major Cities
The outage reportedly started at 12:35 PM IST. As per reports, the disruption primarily affected users on web browsers and smart TVs across Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.
Users encountering the outage received an error message stating: “Something went wrong, we are having trouble playing this video right now.” Despite troubleshooting options, the issue persisted, prompting widespread complaints.
Mobile App Remains Functional Amid Streaming Glitch
Many reported reported issues with video streaming, indicating a significant technical malfunction. Interestingly, while web and smart TV users faced disruptions, the Disney+ Hotstar mobile app remained functional, adding to user confusion.
