Sreeram joined Prime Video in 2018 as Head of Customer and Brand Marketing and was subsequently promoted to Director of Marketing in October 2020. In 2022, he was elevated to Director of Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) Business.

As the SVOD business leader, he was entrusted with building the SVOD business through the acquisition, growth, and engagement of subscribers across B2B and B2C segments.

Prior to joining Amazon, Sreeram led marketing for Xiaomi in India. He also had stints at HolidayIQ.com, eBay, Inkfruit.com, and Hindustan Unilever.

Recently, Nikhil Madhok was promoted to the position of head of India originals for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios following the exit of Aparna Purohit. Madhok had joined Prime Video from Disney+ Hotstar, where he was leading the development of original content.

In an earlier interview with ET, Sreeram said 2024 is going to be the busiest year for Prime Video India in terms of the sheer programming cadence that it is going to deliver to viewers.

Prime Video, which entered India in 2016, launched its single biggest content slate in India with 24 original scripted and unscripted shows in 2023.

Globally, Amazon reportedly spent close to $17 billion on content in 2022 across TV, film, music, and live sports.

Prime Video India is positioning itself as an entertainment hub with multiple services across streaming, OTT aggregation, and movie rental.
